- Host a book discussion of The Great Gatsby. If your book club is planning to read The Great Gatsby, we can assist you by providing opies of a Reader's Guide containing information about the boo, the author, the historical context, discussion questions, and more. We can also provide an audio CD that you can share with your group containing interviews with Robert Redford and others about the book. We can also send you a Teacher's Guide containing lesson plans that were developed with NCTE Standards and State Language Arts Standards in mind. - Also, don't forget to pick up a copy of The Great Gatsby at our Big Read Kick-off on Thursday, September 9 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Women's City Club, 1550 Maine St.
The Quincy Public Library is proud to present the 2010 BIG READ: QUINCY! The Big Read is a month-long initiative designed to get members of the community to read the same book at the same time. The sole goal of the campaign is to spark reading and discussion as a whole by the community. Nine-hundred copies of the book "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald will be distributed throughout the Quincy community and over 20 programs will be held targeting all ages and backgrounds.
